Say something like: "Play the song with the lyrics" and then say a key phrase from the lyrics.

If the song still doesn't have the Mic button, it's also possible for you to get an alternate version of the song you wish to sing along with both the Lyrics and Sing functions on Apple Music.

How to Find an Alternate Version of Apple Music Song on iPhone/iPad:

Step 1. On either iPhone or iPad, open the Apple Music app.

Step 2. Go to Search.

Step 3. Search for the album that includes the song you wish to sing along with. You can also open the album in Apple Music.

Step 4. Scroll down the track list. If there're alternate options, you'll see them listed at the bottom of the screen. If any of your friends have listened to the album, there's the "Other Versions" that is stacked beneath "Friends Who Listened".

Step 5. Go into a different version of the song.

Step 6. At the bottom of the screen, tap the song that's playing.

Step 7. Check if the Sing function is available with the Mic button.
