
Nike+ Run Club app integrates with Spotify but when I open the music portion of the app it says it should populate with the default music app on my phone. There is no way to set Spotify (or any other app) as a default music app. How can I integrate my Spotify premium with Nike+ Run Club so I can listen to Spotify playlists while I run?
It's a good news that Nike Run Club has integrated with one of the most popular music apps Spotify and you can play your favorite tunes while you're running. But the integration looks premature since many users can connect Nike Run Club to Spotify.
So in the following parts, we're going to troubleshoot Nike Run Club and Spotify not working issue and help you to play Spotify while you're running without any disturbance.
Part 1. How to Fix Nike Run Club Not Connecting to Spotify
Step 1. Remove Access to NRC
1. Use a browser to go to Account overview. Or if on desktop, use the profile icon > Account. This will open the same web page on your browser.
2. In the side menu, click Apps.
3. You'll see the apps list in which the apps are given access to your Spotify account. Scroll to Nike Run Club > Remove Access.
Step 2. Disconnect Spotify to NRC
Once you have removed Spotify access to Nike Run Club, it's time to disconnect Spotify to the Nike Run Club app.
1. From the home screen, open the Nike Run Club app.
2. Head to your Nike Member profile > Settings > Partners.
3. Scroll to Spotify > Disconnect to disconnect it with Nike Run Club.
Step 3. Sign out of both Apps
After you disconnected Spotify with Nike Run Club, please open both the apps to sign out.
Step 4. Remove both Apps
On iPhone or Android, uninstall or delete both the Spotify and Nike Run Club apps from the Home Screen.
Step 5. Reboot the Device
To fix the device to make Nike Run Club work with Spotify again, you can either restart your device. For iPhone user, please also try soft reset the iPhone.
Option 1. Restart the device
On Android or iPhone, press and hold on the side power button on the device until the power-off slider is on the screen. Swipe the slider to power off the device. When the screen blacks out, use the side button to restart the devices.
Option 2. Soft Reset the device
For iPhone, a soft reset of the device proves to be more powerful than a simple reboot.
On iPhone, press and release Volume Up button and then the Volume Down button. After that, press and hold the side button until the screen turns off. After that, press and hold the side button to soft reset the device.
Step 6. Reinstall both Apps
After that, go to App Store or Google Play Store to reinstall both the Spotify and Nike Run Club apps.
Step 7. Reconnect NRC to Spotify
1. Go to the run tracking screen on the Nike Run Club > Music note icon.
2. Choose Spotify as your music service.
3. You'll be prompted to log into Spotify to start playing music from it during runs.
Once you have connected Nike Run Club with Spotify, the music note app will now be replaced with the Spotify app. You can tap into it to listen to your own Spotify playlists or Nike's own recommend playlists.
Part 2. How to Fix Nike Run Club Not Working with Spotify

On iPhone, use Settings > General > Software Update. Wait until there's a new version available on the screen > Download and Install.
On Android, use Settings > System > Advanced > System update. Check the Android version and Security patch level and update the device.
Method 4. Change Device Region
On iPhone, use Settings > [Your username] > Media & Purchases > View Account > Country/Region > Change Country or Region. Scroll down to "United States" > Agree > Agree again to confirm. You'll need to select a payment method and enter your new payment information and billing address, then tap Next.
On Android, use the Google Play Store > profile icon > Settings > General > Account and device preferences > Country and profiles. Scroll to "United States" and follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment method for it.
There also are users reporting that the Nike Run Club only shows offline content that is in your music folder on the phone rather than music on the default music app. So basically you'll have to download Spotify songs in advance. Then you'll need to put the music in the music folder so that they can show up on the Nike Run Club app.
