But the Google Clock app doesn't always work perfectly, which sometimes may turn into a disaster like being late for work or school. And it seems hard to find a complete way to fix Google Clock can't connect to Spotify issue.

Part 1. How to Connect Spotify to Google Clock
- You should have the latest versions of both the Spotify and Google Clock app on your device.
- You should have a valid Spotify account to log in with.

How to Set Google Clock Alarm for Spotify Music
Step 1 Open the Google Clock app and go to the Alarm page.
Step 2 Tap the Plus button and you can create a new alarm.
Step 3 Tap the Sound icon and swipe over to the Spotify tab.
Step 4 Press the Connect icon to access your Spotify account on the app.
Step 5 Select a playlist or album from Spotify or search for a specific track to set as the clock sound.
Step 6 Back from Alarm sound screen, turn on the alarm if it's set to off.

Part 2. Fix: Google Clock Can't Connect to Spotify

1. Restart Your Phone
This solution is simple but will usually be overlooked by many people. If your phone is running too long and never get restarted, it may become sluggish and buggy. So restart your phone right away and see what will happen.
2. Reset Google Clock and Spotify
You can either clear the data on both apps or reinstall them. And make sure that you've downloaded the latest version of both apps when you're going to reinstall. You can also clear the cache on Spotify to reload all the songs when you restart playing.
3. Check Your Network
Poor connection can possibly lead to Google Clock Spotify connection issue. You can switch your internet connection between Wi-Fi and cellular to see if Google Clock can play Spotify songs. Or you can restart your router to reset your Wi-Fi.
4. Allow Google Clock and Spotify to Autostart
Both Google Clock and Spotify will have to autostart to play the alarm, so they're both should be set allowed to autostart.
To set apps to autostart:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > Permissions > Autostart.
2. Find Google Clock and Spotify and toggle the button to enable autostart.
5. Remove the App from Spotify Access
If Google Clock app still won't connect to the Spotify app, please consider to remove the Google Clock app access from Spotify and then reconnect it again.
To remove the app from Spotify access:
1. Use a browser to go to the webpage of Account overview.
2. Choose the page of Apps.
3. You'll see the apps list. Scroll to Google Clock and click on the Remove Access button next to it.
6. Remove the App from Your Device
If the methods above won't help, please remove both the Spotify app from your device. You're recommended to follow these steps to clean uninstall the Spotify app.
To clean uninstall the Spotify app:
1. From the Home screen, perform a long press on the Spotify app icon > Remove.
2. Confirm the uninstallation.
3. Go to Settings > Apps & Applications > Storage > Android > Data.
4. Delete com.spotify.spotify.music folder.
