Part 1. Can You Transfer Audible Books to Another Account?

You should now be aware that there's no officially way that 100% works to transfer your Audible books to another account as expected. Given that there's a chance where you'd have to sign out or trouble shoot and you're signed out of Audible with the old Amazon or Audible account, and you won't be able to access that specific email address, mobile number or password. But if you still have the access to those account information, things would be different.

For starters you're recommended possibly contacting the Audible Support or Audible Customize Service by phone or by email to possibly transfer your previous Audible library over to your new account. Fortunately the Audible Customer Service will help you migrate your books to a different account.

If you have no success after you contacted the Audible Support, you can update your email address, mobile number you use for Audible. Go ahead.

Part 2. How to Update Your Email Address on Your Audible Account

For those who don't have to give up the Audible accounts you use with your email addresses and passwords, you'll want to update your account information on Audible so that you don't have to do a possible transfer.

How to check your account information on Audible:

For starters, you have to confirm which email address you're signed in to the Audible app or desktop website (audible.com) with. Pick up your device and check it now with your old Audible or Amazon credentials required. For example, if you lost your Audible account or Amazon credentials and on the desktop site you're not signed in, you may not be able to continue to update your account information on Audible.

Note: If you have a mobile only account, you can only update your mobile number using the Amazon web site. Scroll down to Part 3.

For the Audible app for iOS/Android:

Step 1. On your iOS or Android, open the Audible app.

Step 2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom right corner.

Step 3. Tap the Gear icon in the top right corner.

Step 4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Step 5. Next to Account you should be able to see the email address you're currently signed into the app with.

For the Audible mobile site:

Step 1. Open a compatible web browser and enter "www.audible.com" in the address bar.

Step 2. Tap Enter.

Step 3. Once signed in, tap the Menu icon (3 horizontal lines) in the upper left corner.

Step 4. Tap the arrow to the right of *YOURNAME/USERNAME*.

Step 5. Tap Settings, then your email address will be displayed in the next page.

For the Audible desktop site:

Step 1. Use a compatible web browser to visit www.audible.com.

Step 2. Make sure you're signed in already or use your old account information to sign in via the Sign In button in the top right corner.

Step 3. Once signed in, hover your mouse over "Hi, *NAME/USERNAME*!" at the top of the page, and then click Account Details in the drop down menu that appears. This will open the Account Details page.

Step 4. Click Settings in the side bar.

Step 5. On the left side of the screen, your email address should be displayed.

How to update your account information on Audible:

Once the email address you use for Audible has been confirmed, don't hesitate to change it to the one now you're signed in to Audible. This way, you still bring your Audible library with you without a possible transfer.

For the Audible mobile site:

Step 1. Repeat some steps to go to the Audible mobile site on your device, and then head to the Menu > *YOURNAME/USERNAME* > Settings.

Step 2. To update your account information on Audible, tap Edit. You may be asked to sign in again and approve the notification sent to your email box.

Step 3. Tap Edit next to "Email" you would like to update or change.

Step 4. Tap Done.

For the Audible desktop site:

Step 1. Repeat some steps to go to the Audible desktop site on your device, and then head to *YOURNAME/USERNAME* > Account Details > Settings.

Step 2. To update your account information on Audible, click Edit.

Step 3. Click Edit next to "Email" to update or change it to the new one in use.

Step 4. Update your changes.

Step 5. Click Done to confirm your changes.

Part 3. How to Update Your Number on Your Mobile Only Account

If you use your mobile number to sign in to Audible, you can only update your mobile number using the Amazon website.

How to update your mobile number on Amazon:

If you've combined your Audible and Amazon accounts, you're ready to go.

For the Amazon desktop site:

Step 1. In Your Account, go to Login & security.

Step 2. Click Edit next to your phone number.

Step 3. Enter your new number, then click Continue. You'll receive a text with a verification code.

Step 4. Enter your verification code in the space provided.

Step 5. Click Verify.

Step 6. Reenter your mobile only password and click Save Changes.

Step 7. Click Done.

Part 4. How to Access Your Audible Books with Other Accounts via Household

For the Audible library you built up with your previous account, you can also try to create a Family Library in order to access your Audible books when both your new and old accounts are within the Household. For this you'll want to access the service called Family Library Sharing. This is currently the best solution for you if you want to share your entire Audible library between your new and old account officially.

You can choose to set up Family Library with your new Audible or Amazon account and then add the old one to your Household. After the Household account has been created with the other added members, you can share entire Audible Library with them. However, there're some things you can't access via Amazon Household.

1. Credits for Audible Premium Plus membership;

2. Titles in Audible Plus Catalog;

3. Prime Reading Room for Amazon Prime;

To set up Family Library on Amazon desktop site:

Step 1. Go to the Manage Your Content and Devices page on the Amazon desktop site.

Step 2. Choose the Preferences options from the menu bar.

Step 3. Scroll down to Households and Family Library > Learn more about Households. This will open the Amazon Household page on the Amazon desktop site.

Step 4. On the Amazon Household page, choose the Add Adult option.

Step 5. In the next page, enter the required info - the name, email of the previous Audible or Amazon account. Click Continue.

Step 6. Click the "Sign up together on this device" link.

Step 7. Enter the Email address and password of the previous Audible or Amazon account, then click Verify Account.

Step 8. Revie the conditions on the screen, then Create Household.

To share Family Library on Amazon desktop site:

Once both the accounts are within the Household, you have the ability to access your Audible books.

Step 1. Repeat some steps to go to the Manage Your Content and Devices page on the Amazon desktop site.

Step 2. Choose the Content option > Show Family Library > Add to Library.

Step 3. You can now choose which Audible books you would like to add to your Audible library from the one with your previous account. Just select the title and click Add to Library.

Step 4. Once added, you have transferred the title successfully to your new account from the old one.

Part 5. How to Keep Audible Downloads on Your Device

Upon creating a new Audible or Amazon account, your currently library will not carry over with the downloaded books on your device. For the previously downloaded books on your device you may know you should downloaded them to your devices one by one.
